Leading a simple life doesn’t mean living a life devoid of excitement. Simple excitement might not be the stuff reality television is made of, but I’ll take it over something flashier any day of the week. Over the weekend, we had a good bit of excitement here at Two Frog Home including the first sighting of bees leaving the hive in many months.

The bees were cleaning out the hive: bringing out dead bees, cleaning out poop, etc. Like I said it might not be glamorous but it is exciting. It’s a sign that the hive is healthy and surviving our Montana winter. That’s pretty darn exciting to us novice beekeepers.
