It seems that summer has arrived here in northwest Montana. Our nights are still cool, still getting down into the low 40s but the days are gloriously warm and sunny. It’s been good for the garden and I don’t mind saying good for my mental health too. It’s been so wonderful to get outside and enjoy the sunshine each and every day.
As usual, I’m finding myself in awe of this season, of what’s available to me as I embrace the natural rhythms of the earth. I’m getting ready to set my goals and intentions for the official start of summer next week. I’m excited about all the possibilities and am looking forward to seeing which of the things swirling around in my brain knock themselves loose and become a priority.
Want to join me this summer season? You still have time to sign up for the summer session of the Homespun Seasonal Living e-course.
Lots more summer and seasonal discussion coming here on the blog too. Things like seasonal eating. Tomorrow, for example, I’ll be sharing our new favorite dish – garlickly asparagus and potatoes, oh goodness just typing it makes me drool.
How are you preparing to kick off the summer season?
