Fall is definitely in the air and on the ground here at Two Frog Home. I didn’t want it to be true, honestly. I like fall but I was hoping for a few more weeks of slightly warm nights for our tomatoes. Now that I’m over that initial bit of disappointment and have lowered my expectations – hey, tomatoes ripen inside when necessary – I find myself anxiously awaiting the Autumn season.
Soon there will be ripe apples and with any luck ripe winter squash and all the yumminess that comes with both. We’re aiming to make some hard cider with our apples this year, a new adventure for which we’re super excited.
Until Fall arrives, however; we’re going to continue to bask these late days of summer and all the bounty the garden provides.
