June 15th, 10am to Noon – Modern Home Canning : Water Bath Basics – Learn how to can high-acid foods in this extremely hands-on class. We’ll discuss the basics of canning: fruits, jams/jellies, pickles, salsa, and more in a safe and hygienic fashion. The class walks students through the entire process of canning a jar of food from beginning to end and you’ll leave with a jar of food you preserved with your own hands. Registration is $25 per person & includes handouts & supplies.
June 22nd, Modern Home Canning : Pressure Canning Basics – Learn how to can low-acid vegetables and meats in this extremely hands-on class. Just as in the water bath class students go through the entire process of canning a jar of food from beginning to preserved end and leave with a jar of food. Registration is $25 per person & includes handouts & supplies.
