I’ve tried and failed several times to do a year in photos. I get hung up on the fact that photos need to be these fabulous works of technique and art and blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I’ve failed multiple mostly because I get busy and for some reason wouldn’t just let myself be okay with snapshots. The instagram app on my phone, however; has given me permission to be a little more loose with my idea of photography and to capture ordinary bits of my day.
As I’ve previously mentioned, I find the Autumn season to be good for my creative inspirations and that continues to be true even in my photographic and journaling tendencies. I’ve decided to do a year in instagram photos starting tomorrow on the Equinox and going until the Autumn Equinox of 2013. Some of those photos might make it here, but if you’d like to follow along, I’m mtkatiecakes on instagram (I cannot for the life of me figure out how to give you a link to that). I’ll also post the photos to my flickr account.
