I’ve made a lot of collages over the years. I have a habit of saving little bits of artwork, clippings, cards, etc. in case the urge to collage hits me. Recently, I decided to try my hand at an altered book or two. I picked up a few books at the thrift store and am in the process of making a daily journal and a gardening journal for the upcoming season.
I’ve been playing and having fun. There’s something rather relaxing about playing with paper, scissors, glue, and paint. I did have some advice about making altered books from the following sources:
There were many, many others and lots of looking at samples on Pinterest. I’ll be sharing photos of the inside as I work on the books more in the coming weeks. Hopefully, I’ll be able to share some hints and tips too as I figure out this very fun process.
