Moments I'm Enjoying
I hate to admit it but this going back to work after my little vacation is kicking my butt. Well, that and the crazy amount of heavy, wet snow and horrible driving conditions. I’ve been a little tired this week. I’ll get back into my groove soon, no doubt.
Despite being a little exhausted, I’m enjoying many moments, here are just a few:

Watching this lovely violet send up more and more blooms. Its such a lovely burst of color in my short rather grey days lately.

My stash of homemade cocoa mix in my desk drawer at work. The perfect little afternoon pick-me-up.

Knitting in my layers of pajamas and absent-mindedly paying attention to college bowl games. Life is good, I tell ya.
How about you? What moments are you enjoying?

I am finally really, really appreciating being retired…! Summer was filled w/gardening & family activities, then came the harvesting & preservation crunch, yard & garden clean-up – followed almost immediately by holiday preparation & enjoyment.
I’m enjoying getting my sewing room organized plus doing some sewing & knitting for myself. Life is good…!
I am enjoying my sewing machine. We have always had a shaky relationship but we seem to be working well togther.
I am enjoying watching birds and the occasional red squirrel at the feeders.
I just love the month of January. New energy from a new beginning, My older son turns 17 this month. The days are getting longer. and if we get heavy snow, hubby gets a day off from school.
Love that you have a jar of hot cocoa mix in your drawers at work! Very good thinking on your part!
I’m enjoying the rejuvenating energy of the new year, which always brings along with it a lot of clutter clearing and reorganisation.
I’m enjoying evenings curled up on the sofa crafting while the snow comes down outside.
Katie, you always are focusing on the positive things! Yay! What pretty yarn in your picture – is that a hat you’re making? What type of yarn is it?
Zoikes! forgot the “h” – Sorry Kathie!
No worries. I always introduce myself as Kathie but my Jeff and most people who meet me through him, call me Katie.
As for the knitting project – its going to (hopefully) be a felted bowl. I found a neat project for nesting felted bowls, that I’m using up bits of leftover yarn for.
Right now, I’m enjoying the moments after my daily scour of the job bank is over (sending out resumes each day lets me avoid guilt for 24 hours regarding my lack of a job), and the moments where I get to sit comfortably and knit or read while my roommate plays video games in the background.
I’m also enjoying the moments where my homemade meals actually turn out edible!
Moments of rest and relaxation–I sit with a knitting project or my laptop and just REST after work.
I have been searching for a homemade cocoa recipe, and haven’t yet found one my girls like. I have liked the ones I tried, but they are not quite swiss miss. So if your willing to share I would love to give your recipe a run. Thanks
We’re having an unusually cold bout of weather here in FL, so I’m enjoying wearing all my snuggly sweaters and scarves that I don’t get to break out very often.
Our cat Salem has resigned himself to hugs from our daughter (14 months), and watching her gently, carefully hug him and say “awwww” while he sits there stoically both melts my heart and cracks me up.
Since the cold weather is perfect for hot tea, I’ve been sampling some herbal teas I got for Christmas–a nice time-out from the chaos of the day.
And again with the weather being perfect (yep, definite theme here), I’ve been making soups and coming up with things to bake so the oven can warm the house.
