Some recent favorites, in no particular order I wanted to share:
- I’m thinking I need to make some fabric pom-poms to adourn a window or two for some winter color.
- I’m Kathie and I have Barnheart.
- Apparently I also have Farm Fever.
- I have about 2 months until it time to tap my maples, but in the mean time I’m collecting all the information and tips I can from others on the topic.
- Zombietopia, doesn’t sound so bad… if only whatever comes our way can turn out like a well-written feel-good novel.

I remember going to a maple sugar camp for a school trip, and it fascinated me so much that I decided there and then that I’d someday make the chance to harvest my own sap and make syrup. Haven’t had that chance so far, but when I save up enough money to buy a house and some land, I’m going to make sure there are some good maples on it that I can make use of.
I have farm fever too.

I’m waiting for the first sap to run for maple syrup too. Somehow it seems like one of the clearest signs that spring is coming – with the nearly freezing nights and the slightly warmer days. Last year I went to a maple syrup farm (if that’s the right word?) right near me, and had the best time. First time I’d been to one of these, and I’m itching to get back this year.
