Wimpy

I’m more of a wimp than I care to admit too, but sometimes its good to air our wimpiness (spell check says that’s not a word?), I think:

  • Remember way back in August when I said Social Networking was a time suck?  Well, I rejoined Facebook yesterday.  I won’t be back on Twitter, however.  I still maintain that Social Networking can be a time suck, however; it can also be a useful promotion and connection tool.  I’m hoping I can keep it in check.  I won’t be playing games of any kind, I appreciate all the invitations to farm town and the various other games / charities but I can not go there.  If you’re interested, friend me (Kathie Lapcevic).
  • Remember when I said I wasn’t going to do a ton of Christmas cookie baking?  I haven’t done any yet, but I must tell you there have been lots of plans and schemes to fit in some more holiday baking.  At this point, I haven’t completely caved, but I know I’m going to this weekend.  I’m done trying to resist it.  I am, however; going to do my best to bake and package for shipping as quickly as possible in order to avoid too much eating of said treats on our part.
  • Try as I might, I can’t resist a nibble or two (and sometimes three) of the sweet treats left in the community kitchen at my office building.  I try and fail, often.  I do keep the nibbles small, but still…

Care to share your wimpy moments?

For years I’ve baked cookies or mini muffins for hubby’s coworkers but this year he was sent to a different location and things are not the same. I am missing the baking and decorating the little bags so much. We can’t really afford to do it anyway but it was something I looked forward to each year. Also baked for neice & nephew’s teachers but they’re teens now & totally over it. I’m beginning to think I did it for me instead of others. Considering doing it on a smaller scale this year. But should I? What to do? Could it be I just love traditions? Maybe that’s not a bad thing. LOL

Dips do me in. If I sit near one, I spend lots of time dipping. I must either move me or the dip. I cannot just sit there and not eat it.

I’m a wimp when it comes to cold weather. I really do NOT like cold. So if the weather is cold (or too hot), I’ll wimp out on exercising. That combined with my wimpy resistance to goodies makes for a constant calorie battle.
