Bagging 2009
I’ve spent a good amount of time in my creative spaces lately. It’s been good and relaxing. I’ve spent a lot of time with my fabric stash and scraps trying to use them in pretty and functional ways. I’ve made loads of bags, some will be sent to friends as a New Year’s Gift and some will be listed on my etsy page in the coming weeks.

Many more, including some child sized ones, have been made since this photo was taken. It’s been a great way to use up scraps and thin out my fabric stash. I also made some new curtains for the window above the kitchen sink.

This fabric was in a box of a fabric that I purchased for a $1 at a church rummage sale in the early spring. That box has provided more material for more projects than I had imagined. The box contained mostly upholstery fabric that was used to make curtains for our bedroom and at least 2 sets of placemats and now these curtains from cotton eyelet fabric. It was score.
Knitting has also been happening although a little slower mainly because I’ve been enjoying the time with my sewing machine so very much.
All in all it was a wonderful way to spend a holiday weekend. Christmas was very low key and the decorations have already come down – exactly the way we like it. I hope your weekend, no matter how or what you celebrated, was a blessed one.

You are busy crafting! All of mine are gone as gifts, so now I am ready to craft for me! oh, I did keep my favorite apron for myself…is that cheating?? and the tree will be up until New Year’s Day. That’s when I’ll take the time to pack it all up and rearrange life in the living room.
Wow, you’ve been busy! Our cottage is still overflowing with Christmas guests and will be for almost another week!
I’m still trying to muster up the energy to start taking down Christmas – soon, soon.
