Lazy Day

by Kathie on November 27, 2009

Oh my, yesterday was such a lazy, wonderful day.  We started out the day by weeding out all the black friday ads from our newspaper.  My goodness those ads are just ridiculous in my opinion and all printed on glossy paper that I can’t compost or feed to my worms because of all the toxins.  Coalby figured the best use for those ads was bedding.  Technically, cats aren’t allowed on the table but Coalby doesn’t really care about the “rules”.

Coalby likes to sit on the table when Jeff reads the paper in the morning and as much as I hate cats on the table, no one pays any mind to my likes in this instance.  Jeff indulges Coalby in this morning ritual and I just have to ignore it.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast for lunch, followed by naps by the fire and lots of football watching.  I knitted a hat for a Christmas gift and worked on several other gifts rather lazily.  In fact, I can’t remember taking such a lazy day in a long time – it was good, wonderful in fact.  It was also quite rejuvenating, I’m full of inspiration and energy today and looking forward to tackling a few projects.

A slow, lazy type of day is great for you now and then. Glad you had time to take it easy and just enjoy home. I love that myself.

A lazy day full of kitties and knitting is something to be truly thankful for!

You got things done – that’s not lazy, it’s just peaceful.

Our cats are also not allowed on the table, according to us. They think place mats are awfully comfy.

I love a day like that, I think you just need them now and then to stay mentally healthy. Sounds lovely.
