It seems to me that winter officially arrives when snowy footprints cover the steps and porch leading to the front door and cat prints criss-cross the snowy yard. If that’s true, then winter has arrived here at Two Frog Home. Although, this may be short-lived as the temperatures are predicted to rise. However, I know winter is more or less here and there will be much more snow in the coming months.

That snowy weather made for a great day of baking and crafting inside on Sunday. I was able to:
-
finish a few sewing projects,
-
get a baby quilt sandwich pinned and ready for quilting,
-
get thoroughly confused by the sock I’m knitting and a bit frustrated too… I’m hitting the yarn shop today and I’m bringing treats to thank them in advance for their help and patience (honestly, you sock knitters completely amaze me), and
-
make a few, small thank you gifts of upcycled envelopes and holiday pencils.

Independence Days – Week 29: I got nothing to really put here, this week.

Having lived in Florida my whole life it is a treat for me to even think about snow on the ground. It seems like it would be so much fun to look out your window and see those beautiful trees all dressed up in their winter glory. Hope you and your hubby enjoy many hours of comfort inside your warm, comfortable home in the coming months. We are finally getting a bit of cooler weather. Should be nice and cool for Thanksgiving – probably hot at Christmas.

Mornin’, Kathie – we got a little over 3 inches here, but then about half of it melted when it turned to rain. Was really pretty to watch as it got light out in the morning…but, like you, it’s supposed to warm up today so it will all melt.
Starting a sewing project today: Jedi robes for the 2 youngest grandsons, although, since they are black, I guess they’re Sith robes. LOL
These will be for St. Nicholas Day gifts, so have to be finished for Dec. 6th – I’d better get busy!

Until I read your post I hadn’t really thought about it, but snowy days are so perfect for getting those projects done. No wonder I haven’t been able to settle down and work on gifts yet – it’s sunny and in the 60s or warmer. We don’t even get cloudy days that often (wah wah wah, I know), but it’s killing my motivation!

Good luck on those socks. Once you manage the short rows on the heels you’ll have it beat. And then everyone will be getting socks for Christmas next year:)

Kathie – I hope you are well cozy in your home and have a nice fire going! It seems like the perfect day for baking. Hopefully, you have a nice bowl of soup to go with it!
