Clothing: I mended a pair of Jeff’s jeans and a pair of his lounge pants.
Food: Still eating mostly from our storage and now many salads from the garden. I made some cranberry mustard out of cranberries that had been in the freezer since Thanksgiving and mustard seeds that I’ve had forever (literally).
Household:
Utilities: Line drying clothes, diligently turning off power strips, not using lights during the long daylight hours.
Gifts: I made a stack of fabric napkins to use as wrapping “paper” for upcoming holidays and birthdays. I also made a table runner and matching trivets/hot pads/coasters for an upcoming wedding.
Exercises/Self-Improvement: Yard work and weeding and walking on my lunch breaks.
Homestead:
Weaknesses: I bought an iced latte on Friday using the excuses that I was tired and that I deserved it for working so hard on two very late nights – lame.
Purging:

This is so cool. I’ve started asking myself whenever I need something, “Can I make it?” If I think I can, I won’t buy it unless I need it right away. That simple question has saved us a lot of money!
Awsome plan. I stopped using my dryer a couple years ago. The cheap accordian rack I was using broke, so I did replace it with a new styled clothes drying rack that is based on an antique design. Sometimes I think we should go back and talk to our great-great grandparents.
