This past weekend was full of hard work around here at Two Frog Home and much was accomplished.  It always feels so good to not only know that you did alot of work, but also too see the results of all that work.  The gardens and yard look great, letters and packages are ready mailing, handmade gifts have been wrapped, work day lunches have been picked from the garden and sit packed in the fridge, and the pantry has been neatly re-organized.

Independence Days Challenge – Week 10

Plant Something: More lettuce and carrots, thinning of radishes, beets, carrots, lettuce, and apples.

Harvest Something: radishes, lettuce, beet greens, onions, cilantro, basil, thyme

Preserve Something: Nada

Reduce Waste: Nothing special beyond the usual

Preparation & Storage: Re-organized the pantry, making sure I have things in the proper rotation.  I’m also ready for the upcoming season, this way.

Build Community Food Systems: Purchased and ate locally grown hydroponic cucumbers.

Eat the Food: A salad every day from our garden, we’re still working through our food stores from last year.

I hope your weekend was productive and restful.
