I think I have everyone who’s signed up, so far, added to the Doing Not Thinking Page (see above my banner). If I’ve missed someone, please let me know – it wasn’t intentional. I’m going to start “officially” updating my progress on the challenge next week. If you haven’t already signed up and want to, let me know what your goals are and I’ll get you added to the page so everyone can follow along and support you!

I would love to do this, I spend so much time thinking and not enough time doing. By September I would like:
#1-Build at least 4 new raised beds and prepare them for planting
#2-Complete all the plantings on my side yard
#3-Design and build our chicken coop so it is ready for chickens next year.
#4-Completely Redecorate my living room without spending more than $500
#5-Save more money so we can reach our goal of 1 year of living expenses.
#6-Post something at least every other day on my new blog site about what I’m doing to have our land begin to work for us.

Kathie, I did receive your email. Will respond soon. I’m on my Professor’s laptop as mine is not behaving, and it might be a couple of days until I can be back on my computer. So much to do…how did I live without my computer before??
I’m also thinking about my Doing Not Thinking Challenge…

ACK!! I’d better get busy! Yes, Yes, Kathie – I want to participate. I really need some motivation – I’m suffering badly from Short-Timer’s Syndrome…
I just need to decide which (of many) challenges I’d like to start working on – I have so much on my To-Do List…
I will decide…(trying to give myself an ultimatum)…by the end of the month! How’s that?!?

Okay – finally! Here are my Thinking-Not-Doing Goals. OOPS!! Was that a Freudian slip or what?!?! I mean, Doing-Not Thinking!!
I have so many things I want to accomplish, esp. after my retirement starts – I’ve decided to break this down into stages/goals:
Continuing: Learn about herbs & their uses.
Long-term (by the deadline of Autumnal Equinox): reorganize the garage.
Mid-term (most intense during the summer): food preservation, including re-learning hot-water bath canning and starting pressure canning.
Short-term (most needed/start right now!): health goals – meal planning & yoga
home goals – sew bedroom curtains; paint living room furniture
Whew! Sounds like a lot, but as I accomplish/incorporate those short term goals into my life, I’ll be able to then focus on the mid-term, then long-term, etc.
