Friday Favorites :: 1/9/09 Edition
This week’s favorites in no particular order:
- My grandmother used to have clotheslines strung from the rafters in the basement, I like this idea for indoor line drying slightly better. Now if only I had a basement…
- I was impressed by this feat of stretching a pound of beef & leftovers. (Honestly it has nothing to do with her mention of my blog at the end that got it included here)
- I love the idea of being the produce manager here at Two Frog Home, its a title that hadn’t occurred to me before, but something all of us need to be when taking care of our food stores and pantries.
- Sometimes its important to recognize and celebrate the seasons within seasons, even when the thought of shoveling snow one more times fills us with dread.
- Pasta with Broccoli, Sausage, and Roasted Red Peppers sounds too good to pass up. Though I’ll be using turkey sausage, instead of pork.

I like the basement drying set up as well. We have a basement, thought it is not as pretty as the one displayed. Mine is hand dug, kinda dusty and has a damp smell sometimes. I’ll stick to the wooden collapsable racks over the heat vents. =P
