I have a bunch of stuff rolling around inside my brain these days.  Some of it is deep, some of it is dark, I hope some of it is wise, most of it will eventually come out here I’m sure, but I’d like to banish the dark stuff from my mind.  To that end, I’m going to focus on things I’m enjoying and for which I’m grateful.

I’m grateful that I live in a place where this kind of scene is the norm and yet, still magical:

The old frog, a.ka., Jeff is such a wonderful man.  As I leave for work in the mornings, he tells me to be careful and then he calls me at work just to make sure I made it there with no problems.  He does this every. single. day., even when he leaves before I do, in good weather and in bad.  Isn’t that the most romantic thing in the world?

I’m enjoying learning how to knit.  I just started my second project, a hat for the old frog.  I’m knitting 2, purling 2, over and over right and it’s great practice.

I’m enjoying and grateful for a wonderful boss who is sending me home at Noon today (I didn’t ask, that was his policy) to kick off a long holiday weekend.

All the love I’ve been in receiving these days from everyone.  I’ve received a multitude of cards, packages, and gifts from friends (including many “virtual” friends) and family.  I’m so grateful for each and every treasure.  Not the least of which was homemade chocolate covered pretzels from my dad and his girlfriend, Paula.  Thanks bunches!!! Oh so yummy, I completely forgot about my sugar overload statements from a few days ago when I opened that box.

Last but certainly not least, I’m grateful for each of you who visit me here and leave comments.  You’ll never know how much I relish each comment and treasure each person.  Thank you and Happy Holidays!
