Friday Favorites :: 11/14/08

This week’s favorites in no particular order:

  • Corn flakes, homemade without corn syrup, yes please…
  • Living where I do, cold frames are something I need to get working on for the garden, thankfully I found some great ideas over at Seven Trees
  • Is there anything more delectable sounding than Brown Sugar Apple Cheesecake
  • I’ve been wanting to make own soap forever, but haven’t gotten around to it (and I buy from a few folks who I love and haven’t been forced to make my own), however when I see something that says Simple Soap recipe, well I have to hang on to it for that time when I do decide to make the leap.
  • Homemade dish soap with a hand made wash cloth, might just be the best christmas gift ever in my book.

    Wow. I’m in love with the idea of homemade corn flakes, but I have to admit that I’d probably never make them. :)

    I enjoy reading all the post from Hollowing Hills about “Christmas Without Religion” and I wanted to visit all who posted.

    I’ve never seen a recipe to corn flakes before.

    Coffee is on.

    I make dish cloths all the time, I just hadn’t thought of making the dish soap to go with them. Thanks for the idea!

    Kathie,

    The corn flakes sound great. I think I will give them a try soon.

    Glad you like the dishcloth and soap idea for Christmas. Willow would you like to share your dish cloth pattern with us?

    I saw a pattern some where it was just a plain pattern. If I remember right they where white with a red stripe in the middle of them. They were nice looking but the dish cloths I bought have a butterfly in the pattern.The cotton thread is all a single color.

    If I find a nice pattern I’ll let you know.

    Have a great weekend!
