This week’s favorites in no particular order:
- I have some freshly cooked & mashed pumpkin that I think is screaming to be turned into pumpkin pancakes.
- Finding time to do all the things we want/need, is more about using time well and prioritizing than it is about extra hours.
- Is it the person / people or the is it the circumstances that make us great?
- There’s nothing better than a good bean soup, in my opinion and I’m thinking Rosemary Garlic Italian Bean Pot will be filling my crock pot sometime soon.
- Cash as a last resort, using the barter system more than the cash system is something I’m constantly trying to find ways to incorporate into our lives.

Oh, you know I’m in! =) I love your summaries, by the way.
I like that idea of weekly sharing links to good stuff. I think I’ll adapt that for my blog, too. That Italian Bean Pot recipe sound fabulous, too! Love crockpotting. Happy Blogiversary!

Pick me Pick me!
I live in a cold climate!!!!
And I’m trying the rosemary garlic soup this weekend. Yum.
Do you precook your beans before crock-potting or just leave it a loooog time? I’ve not had much success starting with dried beans in the crockpot, even if they’re presoaked.
Once again, count me in
I was going to ask Michael how pumpkin pancakes sounded for Sunday breakfast. Now seeing that recipe I for sure have to see what thinks as I think they look scrumptious!
Hey, just checking in after a long blog-reading hiatus. I’m sorry for your loss and happy about your blogiversary. You’re an awesome presence on the Internet, and we value you. Since my garden is actually still producing with no frost in sight, I don’t want to be considered for the giveaway! But I love the fact that you do giveaways.
Kathie, I am so enjoying reading your blog. The pumpkin pancakes and the soup sound scrumptious. I’ll be sure to give both a try. Living in Colorado, I’m sure I could put that book to good use!
Love pumpkin pancakes!
The soup also sounds great.
Kathie,
I’m dropping in to say hi and enjoy your Friday favorites. Don’t include me in the giveaway though because I don’t live in a cold climate.

I enjoyed the links, especially the time management one, which is timely (pun intended) for me.
