Honored
When I first started blogging, it was merely to fill the need to journal. I’ve always been a journaler and the urge to write is a strong one, blogging started out as merely a way to meet those needs. Then I started reading other blogs and other people started reading mine and it became about community, connection, and friendships. Now, blogging is very much part of who I am, I identify myself as a blogger among many other things. Still, I’m incredibly humbled whenever someone reads what I write here, I’m honored that people take time out of their busy lives to read my thoughts and opinions and share in my daily life. I’m continually surprised by the many ways blogging adds to my life.
Thank you for reading Two Frog Home, and for all you lurkers out there, please do feel free to comment now and then. I love knowing what everyone is thinking, but understand lurkers too as I tend to lurk on many blogs myself without ever leaving so much as a word that I visited. The mere fact that so many of you read here everyday (yesterday I crossed the 400 visitors in one day mark), is humbling enough, but add to that receiving awards and kudos on your blogs and well this frog is humbled, touched, and a tad overwhelmed.

Part of the reason I procrastinate so very long on these awards is that I have a hard time figuring out who to nominate, I enjoy so many blogs and honestly, they’re all worthy. The good thing about procrastinating is that I can let my number of nominations build up, ha!
What can I possibly say to the kind words Darby wrote about me? I’d say that I’m speechless, except that I have more to say, I am incredibly honored by her words because she is such an inspiration to me on so many levels. She’s also one of those folks I’ve gotten to know via emails and actual letters over the years, and to call her friend is nothing short of a privilege.
To even think that little old me could be an inspiration to other folks, is humbling and a little scary. I’m human, I screw up (and often), I get pissy, emotional, and less than the gracious person I appear to be on here sometimes. The thing about blogging is that you’re only seeing small snippets of a person’s life. I tend to focus on the positive on this blog and in life, so you don’t get a ton of glimpses of the Kathie that nags, whines, or fails. Please remember that this blog is but a glimpse of my life and I’d hate to think of anyone feeling like that I’m living some kind of standard that they should aspire too. I have my own priorities which everyone reads about here, please don’t think those should be your priorities, if anything, I want my writings to be a way to encourage people to march to the beat of their own drummers, proudly. I hope that what I write here helps and encourages in different aspects of people’s lives when they need it, but most of all I hope that it encourages people to just be themselves without apology.
