Upcoming Projects
Some happenings here at Two Frog Home that I’d love to share with all of my blog friends and readers:
First (and let me just say I’m so excited about this announcement that there is no way I can accurately portray it in words on a computer screen), I’m delighted to tell you about a new project that I and 5 other beautiful women bloggers have decided to tackle. Starting on Sunday, July 27th, we will begin posting on a new collaborative blog, Women Not Dabbling in Normal. Our line up of women is amazing, we have Jessica from Practical Nourishment, Gina from Cauldron Ridge Farm, Robbyn from The Back Forty, Kristine from Dancing in a Field of Tansy, Phelan from A Homesteading Neophyte, and of course little ol’ me. Everyone will be continuing their own blogs as well, and I know I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones at Women Not Dabbling in Normal. On Friday’s we’ll be posting answer to readers’ questions as well, so if there’s something on your mind please email me (mtkatiecakes@yahoo.com) those questions and we’ll answer it sometime soon.
I’ve done several posts here at Two Frog Home on my favorite books on a variety of subjects. I’ve recently started an astore through Amazon (the link is also listed in the sidebar under Katie, CEO), this is a place where I’ll list my favorite books and recommendations, should you buy one through that route I will get a little kickback. As much as I would appreciate the kickback, please know that the frugal gal that I am suggests that you check it out from the library first before deciding whether or not it is one to add to your collection.
I’ve been asked by a few folks about doing web versions of the classes I teach locally. This is something I’m considering doing via webcam in a webinar fashion. I’d like to do a dry run or two or three before I start charging folks as I normally would for a class, here’s where a few readers could help me out. I need a few volunteers to sit in on a webinar with me and then offer constructive criticism and feedback (time/date to be determined). If you are interested in such an opportunity, please email me at mtkatiecakes@yahoo.com. I’m going to want to do a dry run of a canning class (water or pressure to be determined) and my vermicomposting class, if that helps anyone decide if they’d like to volunteer. There’s a catch to this opportunity, you must have previously commented on something I’ve written here at Two Frog Home, and it has to have been something besides a giveaway post.
And finally, something I’ve been trying to figure out how to incorporate for a while – Random Acts of Kindness from me. I always want to send little packages, notes, etc. to my many virtual friends and whenever I do a care package giveaway I feel bad that I can’t do one for everyone who enters. So here’s your chance to get something from me, if you email me your mailing address, you will get something from me in the mail. I can’t promise what or when, it may be something as simple as a postcard to something more elaborate, but you will get something. There’s a few catches to this offering as well: 1 – this offer expires on July 31, 2008 (meaning you must email on or before that date to be included in my Random Acts project) and 2 – as with the classes you must have previously commented on something I’ve written here at Two Frog Home, and it has to have been something besides a giveaway post. Folks outside the US are welcome.
I look forward to working on and sharing these projects with everyone in the future.

Pick me! Pick me!
Well, for the webinar thing. I pick up on the stupidest of things that sound trivial but end up being helpful. Now, for the BIG stuff, you need someone much more astute then me. I’m just down with the little things.
But pick me anyway, it just sounds like fun!
Oh my gosh, I am so excited. I have been lurking on a couple of the blogs of the folks that are joining you. That is awesome and will give me another great resource blog. I also would be more than happy to sit in and constructively criticize a vermiculture or canning webinar. Let me know how I can help!!
What a terrific collaboration! I can’t wait to see it!
Hi Katie,
Count me in for a give away!
I’m sure I’ve posted comments in the past.

Another giveaway? Wow, you are one busy woman
Hi, my name is Robbyn and I’d like to be entered in the drawing (grin!)
It’s about blastoff time for the new blog…exciting!
Hi Kathie,
It’s okay if you never send me a package. I just enjoy coming here to read about your adventures in Montana. But if you did send something I’d be delighted with it.
My life has become rather busier than I expected so I’m just now getting around to reading last week’s posts!
