Thank Yous

I’m a big believer in thank you notes and gifts.  I’ve fallen way behind because of the recent remodel and move but am getting caught up.  Over the weekend, I made a little thank you package for our realtor who really was just so wonderful.  Turns out, I’m not the calm person I think I am when it comes to real estate and my home.  I was a nervous, antsy, sometimes irritating person during the whole house purchase and our realtor was nothing but calm and sweet too me.  Thanks Paul!  Honestly he deserves sainthood for putting up with me and my many mood swings.

My aunt had sent us a care package pretty much immediately after we closed on the house.  In that package was some paint brushes, a very handy paint pail, extension cords, a new clothesline and various other little items.  It all came in so very handy and both Jeff and I appreciated it so much.  Have I written or even emailed a thank you note?  Not yet, to my shame, but I’m baking some of her favorite treats this weekend to go in a thank you care package. 

Several blogging friends have also sent cards, emails, and packages as housewarming gifts.  I promise thank you packages are coming your way too.

I don’t mind saying how great it was to be baking in my new kitchen either.  It’s good to test out the layout and organization.  I think I got it dead on.  Bread baking to resume this weekend!
